Course Introduction
The Center offers the 2026 Summer Foreign Language Courses, including Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, TOEIC preparation, English grammar and writing, and English conversation. The courses are suitable for learners who wish to build a foundation in a foreign language, improve their everyday communication skills, prepare for language proficiency tests, or strengthen their ability to use a foreign language in the workplace.
◎ Course Level Reference
|
1｜Introductory Level Learn basic pronunciation, word spelling, everyday expressions, and fundamental grammar through practical dialogue exercises. This level is suitable for complete beginners or learners who wish to rebuild a strong foundation. |
2｜Basic Level Building on the Introductory Level, this course further develops commonly used vocabulary, everyday conversation, and elementary grammar. It is suitable for learners who have completed one term of study or already possess basic knowledge of the language. |

You are welcome to register at the Language Center during office hours.
◎ Payment Methods
| Cash Payment | Cash payments may be made at the office of the Language Center, National University of Kaohsiung. |
| Bank Transfer | After completing the transfer, please send a screenshot of the transaction, or provide the last 5 digits of the account number and the transfer amount for verification. |
| Other Methods | To use another payment method, please contact the Language Center for confirmation before proceeding. |
◎ Tuition Discounts
| 1 | NUK faculty members, staff members, students, and their relatives who present a valid employee or student ID may receive a NT$500 discount. |
| 2 | Applicants who complete registration and payment by June 26, 2026 may receive a NT$500 discount. |
| 3 | Applicants who provide proof that they have added the Center as a LINE friend may receive a NT$300 discount. |
| 4 | For group registration by 3 participants, each person may receive an additional NT$100 discount. |
※ Only one discount may be applied.
◎ Course Location and Classrooms

| Classrooms | Classes will generally be held in the Language Center's designated classrooms. If enrollment is high, other classrooms on campus will be arranged. |

◎ Important Notes
- Tuition does not include the cost of textbooks or other course materials.
- If enrollment is insufficient, the Center may extend the enrollment period or cancel the class and provide a full refund.
- In the event of force majeure, such as a typhoon, natural disaster, or other exceptional circumstances, the course may be postponed or cancelled.
- Students who are unable to attend due to a serious illness or military service call-up may apply for a course deferral or refund by submitting the relevant supporting documents.
- Refunds shall be processed in accordance with the University's regulations governing continuing education programs.
- No refund may be requested after a course has been deferred or the student has transferred to another class.
- Registration will close early when a course reaches capacity. Applicants wishing to join the waiting list should contact the Center by email.
- Auditing courses is generally not permitted.
- The Center reserves the right to adjust course arrangements, instructors, classrooms, and modes of instruction.
- Course materials are protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without authorization.
- Smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, and chewing betel nuts are prohibited on campus.
- If a student engages in inappropriate conduct that affects an instructor or other students, the Center may terminate the student's eligibility to attend the course without providing a refund.

※ Students may not apply for a refund after deferring a course or transferring to another class.
