Scholarship Benefits, Eligibility Requirements, and Contact Information
The Ministry of Education Huayu Enrichment Scholarship aims to provide students and citizens from countries without diplomatic relations with Taiwan with opportunities to study Mandarin and learn about the culture of Taiwan, thereby strengthening exchanges, mutual understanding, and friendship between Taiwan and other countries.
I. Scholarship Benefits
Monthly Scholarship
A monthly scholarship of NT$25,000 will be provided.
Scholarship Period
Scholarship periods are available for summer programs of 2 months, as well as periods of 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, or 1 year. Except for summer programs, the scholarship period generally runs from September 1 of the current year to August 31 of the following year.

II. Applicant Eligibility
Basic Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have graduated from a senior secondary school or higher educational institution, have an excellent academic record, and be of good moral character.
Applicants Are Ineligible under the Following Circumstances
1.Applicants who hold Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality or overseas Chinese student status.
2.Applicants who have previously studied in a degree program in Taiwan or are currently registered and studying Mandarin in Taiwan.
3.Exchange students admitted by a university or college in Taiwan under an academic cooperation agreement with a foreign institution.
4.Applicants who have previously received this Scholarship, the Taiwan Scholarship, or the Ministry of Education Huayu Enrichment Scholarship.
5.Applicants who are concurrently receiving a scholarship or subsidy provided by a government agency, institution, or educational institution in Taiwan.
