The Ministry of Education (MOE) has initiated the entry of foreign students for the 111th academic in July. In addition to the original entry of foreign degree students, students of the Preliminary Study Department for Overseas Chinese Students, and Taiwan Scholarship recipients of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MOFA), foreign students and students studying Chinese for 2 months or more (including Hong Kong and Macao students) have been added to the program.
MOE will further expand the number of foreign students coming to Taiwan for study and exchange, and ensure the health of teachers and students on campus through comprehensive epidemic prevention measures.
MOE indicates that the entry of foreign students into Taiwan under the project has always been based on the epidemic prevention regulations of the Command Center, and will continue to be revised to meet the needs of international admissions and student exchanges at domestic colleges and universities.
The following students who do not hold a valid residence permit.
(1) Overseas degree students (including foreign students, overseas Chinese students, Hong Kong and Macao students, China students)
(2) Overseas Chinese students in the pre-college department
(3) Ministry of Foreign Affairs Taiwan Scholarship recipients (foreign students)
(4) Bilateral reciprocity and special diplomatic considerations, excellent Chinese program, Ministry of Education scholarships for foreigners coming to Taiwan for short-term studies (foreign students)
(5) Foreign exchange students enrolled in accordance with educational cooperation agreements signed between the school and foreign schools.
(6) Foreign students (including Hong Kong and Macao students) who have studied Chinese language for more than 2 months.
(1) Foreign degree students, students of the Pre-graduate Department of Overseas Chinese Students, MOFA scholarship recipients, and foreign exchange students enrolled under educational cooperation agreements signed between the school and foreign schools may enter the country from August 1, 2022.
(2) Other students under the Bilateral Reciprocity and Special Diplomatic Considerations, the Excellent Chinese Program, and the Ministry of Education Scholarship for foreigners coming to Taiwan for short-term studies will continue to apply for 110 academic.
(3) Students who have studied Chinese for 2 months or more may enter Taiwan from July 15, 2022.
(1) Quarantine days:
3 days + 4 days for home quarantine.
(2) Place of quarantine:
Domestic qualified quarantine hotel or school quarantine dormitory approved by the local health unit. If there is a shortage of beds in quarantine hotels or school isolation dormitories, MOE will coordinate the provision of beds at the quarantine centers after reporting to the Ministry.
